FUJAIRAH, 2nd February, 2026 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, witnessed today at his office in the Emiri Court the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation in Fujairah and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London. This agreement marks the beginning of an academic collaboration to launch a specialised programme in manuscript arts that combines theoretical study with practical application, in accordance with the highest academic standards.

The MoU was signed by Dr Esra Al Hamal, Managing Director of the School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation in Fujairah, and Professor Adam Habib, Director of SOAS University of London.

H.H. EPA forms strategic partnership with PublisHer to empower women

SHARJAH, 4th December, 2025 (WAM) — The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the PublisHer organisation to strengthen its expanding network of women publishers and to increase its global influence in promoting positive change within the publishing sector.

The collaboration aligns with the vision of the international initiative established by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, which aims to empower women, promote diversity, and strengthen gender equality throughout the global publishing industry.

Emirates Driving Company reports 67% revenue growth in nine months, reaching AED563 million

ABU DHABI, 24th October, 2025 (WAM) — Emirates Driving Company announced strong financial results for the third quarter and nine-month period ended 30th September 2025, reflecting continued operational excellence, disciplined execution, and strategic expansion across the mobility sector.

For the third quarter of 2025, the Company recorded a net profit of AED113 million, compared to AED87 million in Q3 2024, marking an increase of 30%. Revenue for the quarter grew 29% to AED209 million, compared to AED162 million for the same period last year.

For the nine months ended 30th September 2025, Emirates Driving Company achieved revenue of AED563 million, up 67% compared to AED337 million in the same period of 2024. Net profit for the nine months reached AED272 million, representing an increase of 31% year-on-year. This robust performance was driven by sustained demand for driver training services, improved operational efficiency, and continued portfolio optimisation.

Harrison, the former Managing Director of Tourism Australia, will spearhead the Emirate’s bold vision to become the ‘Destination of the Future’, bringing decades of international tourism expertise across Australia and other global markets.
